Knives & Scissors
Sharpening Pricing & Details
At our shop, we believe in transparent and fair pricing for all knife sharpening services. Our pricing structure is based on the length of your blade's cutting edge, with a flat rate of $1 per inch. For example, a 6-inch chef’s knife will cost $6 to sharpen, while a 10-inch carving knife would be $10. To ensure that everyone can get their knives professionally sharpened, we have a minimum charge of $5 per knife, meaning that even if your knife has a shorter blade, you won’t pay less than this set minimum.
This pricing is consistent across both straight-edged blades and serrated blades. Whether you need the edge of a fine kitchen knife, a pocket knife, or even a larger hunting knife sharpened, the cost is calculated based on the blade's cutting edge length alone. This approach makes it easy to estimate the cost up front, without any surprises.

Planer Knifes & Jointer Knifes
I offer professional sharpening for planer and jointer knives, ensuring clean, consistent results to help you get the best performance from your woodworking tools.
Pricing:
$10 per set (up to 10")
$15 per set (11"–15")
$20 per set (16"–20")
Each set is carefully sharpened to restore a precise, even edge, helping reduce tear-out and improve cut quality. Please note that I’m currently unable to sharpen knives longer than 20 inches.

Scissors
I offer sharpening services for most common types of scissors. Basic household scissors are a flat $5 per pair to sharpen.
Professional scissors and shears like surgical scissors, fabric scissors, and pinking shears are $7 per pair to sharpen. Please let me know what kind of material you are cutting with the scissor so I can sharpen it appropriately and test it on the same type of material to verify it's performance.
At this time, I’m not able to sharpen beauty shears, such as hairdressing or grooming scissors, as they require specialized tools and techniques. I appreciate your understanding and am happy to answer any questions about what types of scissors I can service.

Exclusions: Micro Serrations
While we can sharpen most types of knives, there are some exceptions. Specifically, we cannot sharpen the micro-serrations often found on certain types of steak knives. Micro-serrations are incredibly small, intricate teeth along the edge of the blade, designed for cutting through tough fibers, like steak. These delicate, fine serrations require a more specialized sharpening technique that is beyond the capabilities of our standard sharpening tools. If your knife has micro-serrations, we recommend checking with us beforehand, as we will let you know if it’s something we can accommodate.
